Cold Laser Therapy
Cold laser therapy, also known as “soft therapy,” is a form of medical treatment which involves the use of a low intensity laser. Laser therapy is commonly used to address pain and inflammation, providing patients with considerable relief from various sources of pain. Since the therapy penetrates the skin, it becomes a viable treatment for soft tissue injuries such as joint pains, back pains, and those which are caused by Carpal Tunnel, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and others. In addition, cold lasers can be used for cosmetic enhancement and smoking cessation. We use a Microlight laser, an industry leading brand approved by the FDA to help relieve painful symptoms of various ailments. Multiple sessions are recommended to achieve beneficial results. Each patients case is different and will be assessed at the first session.
Medical researchers began using laser biostimulation (low-level laser therapy, or “LLLT”) in the 1960’s with low-powered laser beams that produced non-thermal effects on human tissue. The efficacy (self evident truth) of “LLLT” has been substantiated by decades of responsible research that continues to this day.
